From one of the world’s most pristine grazing areas, our Himalayan Collagen is sourced from the prized livestock of the proud herdsmen within Inner Mongolia – an area steeped in rich, centuries-old tradition. Known in history as one of the toughest and most advanced forces under the famous leader Genghis Khan, the Mongol Kingdom grew to the second largest in ancient times. This proud heritage carries through to modern day, where the remaining generations farm this vast area, in the cradle of the majestic Himalayan Mountain range. Rigorous spiritual, sustainable and regenerative farming practices are implemented by government to preserve the history and embedded culture of the region.
The rich grazing conditions allow for a superior collagen with a slightly different amino acid profile to other common hydrolysed collagens on the market today, with higher levels of Glycine, Proline, Alanine and Hydroxyproline being measured. The molecular weight of our bovine Himalayan Collagen is also unique – at only 920 Da making it the lowest in the bovine category. This means for extremely high bio-availability and absorption in the body.
