Is breastfeeding or formula feeding better?
There are so many factors to be considered when it comes to feeding your baby that there simply is no right or wrong answer when it comes to breastfeeding vs formula feeding. From a nutritional perspective, formula development has come so far and provides the same nutritional value as breastmilk.

Pro’s and Cons
Breastfeeding can be seen as more convenient should you have the luxury of being with your baby for most of the day as there is no preparation needed per se. However should you be working and you are away from your baby, expressing in a public location can be extremely challenging, in which case offering your baby formula is a lot easier.
Breastfeeding has additional benefits such as containing antibodies which boosts your baby’s immune system naturally, adapts to seasonal changes as mentioned in the beginning of the article as well as some other benefits, however sometimes your baby may require more nutrient dense feeding when they are older which means increased demands on breastfeeding moms where formulae can address that fairly easily.
Fed is Best
This is a big decision to make and there is no wrong or right answer. We recommend that you do sufficient research on both forms of feeding so that you can make an informed decision. Then, focus on nourishing and nurturing your baby. Feeding is a big part of a new parents’ journey, but it is also only one part of this new adventure.
Do what is right for you and your baby in your unique situation, and focus on enjoying the journey of parenthood.
From a Mama, to a Mama
The best advice I got when my baby was born, was to just let the world go by whilst you are feeding your baby. Put down your phone, sit in a relaxing and comfortable environment, and just soak up that special time with your little one.
